Welcome to Bahamas Employers Confederation (BECon)

The objects of BECon includes the mandate of the Confederation to be the organization most representative of employers in the Commonwealth of The Bahamas in order to represent employers in The Bahamas on national, regional and global levels. To support the common interest of employers in order to create and promote the best environment for employers, to encourage the establishment and maintenance of fair and reasonable employment practices and to promote strict adherence to law and contractual obligations in employer and employee relations.

On Monday, the 22nd of October, 2007 the tripartite conference TRIFOR brought together representatives of government, employers and employees at the British Colonial Hilton for an all day conference. Bahamian Youth - The Untapped Resource, Report No. 2 is a follow-up by The Coalition for Education Reform to its first report submitted to the 18th National Education Conference of the Ministry of Education in July 2005. The findings of this report reinforces the Coalition's concern about the high failure rate in core subjects which underscores the extent of the education crisis. Our country must awaken to the need to make hard decisions as failure to do so means lower economic growth and increased social instability.

We promote and protect the interests of employers in national, regional and international forums and support true tripartism, pursuing issues of public interest in a changing global society.
