About Bahamas Employers Confederation

The Bahamas Employers Confederation (BECon) is the recognized voice of employers in the Commonwealth of The Bahamas. Please read our brief history of BECon for more information.

The Bahamas Employers Confederation is governed by its Constitution which provides for not less than five nor more than twelve Directors who are charged with the management of the Confederation.

Membership in the Bahamas Employers Confederation

Membership in BECon is reserved for employers. Members include single companies; groups of companies that fit the description of "associated companies" as defined in the Companies Act; associations of companies; and, in special cases individual businesspersons.

New members joining the Bahamas Employers Confederation pay a one time entrance fee and an annual subscription rate based on the total number of employees of the individual company or group of companies. The subscription rate for associations is based on the number of companies comprising the association.

If you are interested in joining BECon print out the Single and Group Company Membership Application Form or the Association of Companies Membership Application Form. Please return the completed application by email, fax, mail, or deliver to the Bahamas Chamber of Commerce Building.

All applicants for membership must be approved by the Board of Directors of the Bahamas Employers Confederation. Response time to applicants is usually within fourteen days.
