The objects of the Bahamas Employers Confederation (BECon) includes the mandate to be the organization most representative of employers in The Commonwealth of The Bahamas in order to represent employers in The Bahamas on national, regional and global levels. BECon supports the common interest of employers in order to create and promote the best environment for employers, encourages the establishment and maintenance of fair and reasonable employment practices and promotes strict adherence to law and contractual obligations in employer and employee relations.

The 29th October, 2008 BECon News Bulletin continues with Part II of the article series Awareness of Existing Labour Legislation which focuses on the Industrial Relations Act.
